Natural autumn at Ikea...

These pictures from Ikea on the website of Beeldsteil jumped into my eye. I cannot wait to see the autumn collection of Ikea this year, if the images are promising what they show, the new collection will be a dream!

Our home in Residence Magazine

I'm back from my summer break here at the blog with one of the highlights from this year. Our penthouse featured in the Swedish Residence Magazine. I'm so proud and very grateful to a wonderful story about us and our four walls, you can see it in the May issue of the Residence.
A big "Thank you" to Hanna Nova Beatrice for the wonderful publication, thank you Michelle Maedows for the bloomy words to our homestory and once again I want to thank my dear friend Christine Bauer for the wonderful pictures.

The Mold by Liu Hsuantzu

"We learn from copy, this is a truth that everyone would agree with. But the truth that we actually design based on copy, will not be taken easily. What we neglect in this phenomenon is that we actually create our own autonomy through copying. When we copy, we make adjustments or progresses, to make it better, more personal or maybe worse. Or we just simply do it in our own way, which might be different from the so called original. These factors influence the final result of our works, or us as a human being or a designer." Liu Hsuantzu

...beautiful words and of course a beautiful way of creativity, read more about this mold project here.

Today I shot this sujet with some beautiful accessoires from HEIMELIG SHOP. I felt really inspired by the Instagram picture of Lotta Agaton in which she put a fig in a vase. This is such a beautiful DIY project and in combination with the Pallo vase by Carina Seth Andersson it is just eye candy, don´t you think?
If you want, try it too! Just wash the soil from the roots of little tree and into the water with it.
Tag your variations on Instagram with #figinavase so we can see all our beautiful results.
Good luck with your greens!

Off to New York City!

Unpacking the Head of the Statue of Liberty, June 17, 1885. Picture thankful via.

On this friday the time has come, I am going to New York for one week. It is my first time to be in America at all and I am so excited. My to do list is really long and I hope I can use the time without stress to collect many impressions and inspirations.
I found this blog, Petit Passport, and I must say, I love it. Pauline Egge, the editor of the site collects so many great places all over the world and also in New York she has picked out some hidden places I will visit for sure.
Further I found this feed on Instagram @thetrottergirl or @kessara, their feed is also a great place to get inspired for lifestyle and places to go to in their hometown.
I will keep you informed, stay tuned on my Instagram site if you like.

Summer starts now!

Anna Wedin

Oh how I love the pictures of Anna Wedin... Her Instagram account is such an inspiring place... You have to check it out too...

By the way, currently I am searching for a perfect indoor tree... this one on the left behind is such a beautiful tree. Unfortunately I have no idea which kind of ficus (?) it is... Maybe I am lucky enough and my gardener of confidence is able to tell me more... Or maybe you friends have an idea?

However I wish you all a very lovely and sunny weekend, summer has arrived with a loud "Yej!!!"
